Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Lift)
The eyes are the facial feature that people notice most – don’t trust your eyes to just anyone. Blepharoplasty or eyelid lift is a surgical procedure which corrects droopy, heavy, or puffy eyelids, and can dramatically improve an angry, sad, or tired appearance. Many patients desire this procedure for cosmetic reasons, but for some patients correcting upper eyelid drooping may be medically necessary to improve peripheral vision. Lower eyelid puffiness is always considered cosmetic. Our physicians are experienced and well-versed in the subtleties and nuances of the delicate eyelid tissues. They are extensively trained in this particular area and have significantly more experience than surgeons in other specialties who may also perform these procedures.
Upper Blepharoplasty
An upper blepharoplasty is a surgery to improve peripheral vision and cosmetic appearance by removing or repositioning the excess skin, muscle, and fat of the upper eyelids. In the upper lid, an incision is placed in the natural eyelid crease where it may be hidden in the fold.

Lower Blepharoplasty
A lower blepharoplasty is the removal or repositioning of excess fat and/or excess skin of the lower eyelids. An incision may be made through the skin just beneath the lashes, or through the moist inside surface of the eyelid called the conjunctiva. The excess tissue is often removed, repositioned, or contoured to improve the aesthetic appearance.
